Senior Citizens National Protest Day, August 16, 2010 The Indian Society of Universities of the Third Age are proud to support this bold initiative on the part of Shri R N Mital, President of APSCCon and Vice-President of AISCCon, who says "It shows that we Elders are united when it comes to a common cause, though we may belong to different Associations, Federations or Confederations. I am therefore, confident that this joint effort by all Senior Citizens of the Country will be a success and we will be able to make the required impact on our Rulers." |

R Gupta writes from Delhi: For the 1st time, on the occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, Confederation of Senior Citizens Associations of Delhi (an umbrella body for elders) organised a Candle Light March for drawing the attention of Govt. of India and Govt. of Delhi on 15th June at historical place, Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, in which more than 300 Senior Citizens representatives of various Senior Citizens Associations participated from all over Delhi. |
