ABOUT US

The inaugural conference and launch of the above Society took place at the G B Pant Institute for Social Science in Allahabad on the 28th & 29th of March 2008.

We are a group of loosely knit individuals - academicians and practitioners in the field of Ageing in India . We have come together for the purpose of spreading the U3A concept across India . We are aware of the fact that a number of NGOs are dedicated to the cause of Elder Care in India . For infusing much required knowledge into the processes and practices of successful ageing, the internationally renowned concept of U3A or the University of Third Age is being introduced in India for the first time.
